First full day on the slopes was on the lift for 9am. The weather was nice an clear so decided to head for the other side of the mountain. Once over other side I had my first contact with T bar lifts never having used them before managed to clout myself round the head on once, but didn't fall off so can't be that bad. Riding up one of the lifts I could see where there had been an avalache glad I wasn't here at the time it went right across the lift path!
The slopes on this side are a lot wider and could get some nice wide carving turns in. With things coming back to me I decided to just come off the edge of the piste and try a couple of turns in the powder never having skiied in deep powder this was gonna be something different managed one turn then went for a second and didn't lean back enough over the front and off come one of me skis, instant snow man! Had to spend about 5 mins searching the snow with my pole to find the ski which had come off in the off piste sortie
I decided to stay on the piste for the rest of the day leaving the off piste for the people who know what they are doing
Just the one fall today
